Balasore: A man allegedly thrashed his wife to death over a verbal altercation at Kubadia village under Jaleswar police limits in Balasore district.
The deceased woman has been identified as Durgi Kisku, wife of Lakhai Kisku of Kubadia village.
According to reports, a verbal spat ensued between Durgi and her husband Lakhai Kisku. Irked over the matter, Lakhai started beating Durgi with a bamboo stick. Subsequently, Durgi died on the spot.
On being informed, police reached the spot, seized the body and arrested the accused from the spot.
