Malkangiri: A man was brutally Killed at Nilaguda village under Padiya block Malkangiri district late last night. The deceased has been identified as Budura Padiani from the same village.
According to sources, last night Budura was engaged in a conversation with two unidentified persons outside his house. However, around 8 pm, the duo allegedly slit Budura’s throat before fleeing from the spot.
When Budura’s wife rushed to the spot and found the man lying in a pool of blood. Later, with the help of villagers, the family members informed the police about the same.
On being informed, police reached the spot and launched and recovered the body for post-mortem. According to preliminary investigation, it is being claimed that Budura is likely to have been killed over the suspicion of practicing sorcery.
Further investigation is underway in this regard, sources said.
