Bargarh: Police here have registered a murder case in connection with the death of four members of a family at Jamdola village under Bheden block in Bargarh district.
The deceased were identified as Seshadev Meher (55), Kshireswari Meher (48), Arabind Meher (28) and Shivani Meher (20).
Notably, foul smell coming from the building prompted the neighbours and others to inform the police.
On receiving information, Bheden police reached the spot, broke open the locked house and found four bodies.
The bodies were taken out of the house in presence of four executive magistrates this morning, said a senior police official.
