Four Maoists Killed In Encounter With Security Forces In Chhattisgarh

Bijapur: At least four Maoists including two women were killed in a fierce encounter between security forces and Maoists in Chhote Tungli forest under Jangla police station in Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh on Tuesday.

As per reports, the police received from a reliable source that, the Maioists were making plans inside the Chhote Tungli forest. Based on this, the Bijapur police along with the Bastar fighters and CRPF jawans conducted a combing operation in that area.

During the operation, they came in contact with the Maoists. Noticing the security forces, the Maoists opened fire at them first. The jawans also retaliated. The two sides exchanged fire for a long time. Four Maoists were killed in this encounter. Also, the police seized a huge cache of ammunition from their possessions.
