Former Rajnagar MLA Anshuman Mohanty Quits Congress

Bhubaneswar: Former Rajnagar MLA Anshuman Mohanty resigned from primary membership of Congress on Wednesday.

Anshuman has sent his resignation to OPCC president Sarat Pattanayak. He also quit the post of Kendrapara District Congress Committee President.

Mohanty, son of former state minister Nalini Kanta Mohanty was elected to Odisha Assembly from Rajnagar constituency in Kendrapara district in 2014. He, however, lost the 2019 election to BJD’s Dhruba Sahoo.

“I hereby tender my resignation from the primary membership of the Congress party with immediate effect. This may also be treated as my resignation from the post of president of Kendrapara District Congress committee,” his letter read.
