Five WB Pilgrims Rescued From Drowning In Puri Sea

Puri: Five pilgrims of a family had a close shave today while they were bathing in Bay of Bengal in Puri.

They were rescued by life guards and fire service personnel while drowning in the sea. They were drowning while swimming in Sector 9 area.

Lifeguards have rescued all of them and provided preliminary treatment

They all visited the pilgrim town to have darshan of Lord Jagannath. The incident took place while they were bathing on Saturday morning.

They all belong to North Pragana district of West Bengal. They are Rekha Mahali, Devi Mahali, Sumitra Mahali, Sudeep Mahali and Prasanna Mahali.
