New Delhi: An unusual mishap has put the participation of pacer Jofra Archer in doubt after he dropped a tropical fish tank in his bath and suffered a cut middle finger on his right hand.

It happened at Archer’s flat in January. The ECB management has decided to investigate the matter thoroughly.

Reports said Archer has undergone surgery on his right hand. His participation in Rajasthan Royals could not be determined now. However, a decision will be taken later. He has a £800,000 contract with Rajasthan Royals.

The pacer had played two Tests and all the five T20Is against India. The selectors, however, ruled out him from the ODI series and IPL. Archer’s elbow complaint may not see him through the event which will be underway on April 9.
