Bhubaneswar: After remaining shut for months due to COVID-19 outbreak, cinema halls and Malls reopened with 50 per cent seating capacity in Odisha.

Complying with the guidelines, halls and Malls are allowed to reopen only with 50 per cent occupancy and adequate social distancing. Use of face masks, hand sanitisation and thermal screening will be mandatory for all prior to their entry.

However, for entry into malls, cinema halls, restaurants and bars in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack and Puri, adults are required to produce a final vaccination certificate (both doses).

Meanwhile, the weekend shutdown will continue to remain in force in three cities- Bhubaneswar, Cuttack and Puri- with high Covid-19 caseload. Following this, malls and cinema halls remain close.
