Baripada: The dead bodies of two minors were recovered from a pond in Mahulia village under Sadar police limits in Mayurbhanj district today.
The deceased have been identified as Maalha Majhi (6) and Kartik Majhi (2), children of Sukhnath Majhi.
According to the sources, the brother-sister duo drowned in the pond while bathing yesterday.
The fire brigades on receiving information rushed to the spot and started a search operation. Today the bodies have been recovered and sent to PRM Hospital for post-mortem. A pall of gloom has descended on the village after this incident.
