The Bhadrak District Collector and Election Officer, Dilip Rautaray, has suspended Sapan Kumar Nayak, an assistant teacher at PSS Nodal High School, Chandrakata Bindha, for serious negligence in electoral duties during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR)‑2026.
Nayak, appointed as Booth Level Officer (BLO) for Booth No. 29 in Malpur under Chandbali Assembly constituency, failed to provide required PIC details and OTPs for registration on the ERO‑NET platform and activation of the BLO app. Despite repeated instructions and a show‑cause notice, he did not cooperate, leading to disruption of the voter roll revision process.
The Collector’s order specifies that Nayak’s headquarters will remain at the District Education Office, Bhadrak, during suspension, and he cannot leave without prior approval. The administration emphasised that negligence and non‑cooperation in electoral work will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
