Berhampur: Chief Minister and BJD President Naveen Patnaik today addressed a huge public gathering at Kanisi under Gopalpur Constituency in Berhampur Lok Sabha segment.

Naveen reached at Reangeilunda airstrip and went to Kanisi where thousands of people welcomed him with flowers. He appealed the people to bless him and the BJD party candidates and vote for development.

He appealed them to bless the good candidate and not a thief. Senior leader Kartik Pandian, Berhampur Lok Sabha candidature Bhrugu Baxipatra, Gopalpur Assembly candidate Bikram Panda and other leaders were present at the program.

Speaking at the program, Kartik Pandian said, “The overwhelming presence of people at this meeting shows the love and affection of the people for CM Naveen and gives a good message.” He asserted that, in the first phase elections, the Biju Janata Dal will sweep the polls with more than 90 percent strike rate. Your blessings and hard work can make this 100 percent, he said to the cheering public.

Taking pot shots at the opposition parties, Pandian said “opposition parties bring their manifesto once in every five years. In 2014, BJP brought a manifesto promising many things including two crore employment, bring down prices, and many more. In Odisha, they got less than 20 seats against their target of 120 seats. In 2019, again they brought a manifesto in which they gave false promises. They got about just 20 seats. This time also they have come out with a manifesto. People of Odisha do not believe in their manifesto. Today evening our beloved chief minister will give you the manifesto which will make you happy. Whole Odisha will be happy with Biju Janata Dal manifesto. I appeal the members of our Biju Pariwar to take the manifesto to each and every home in the nook and corner of the state. Please take the development message of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to every household, he appealed. Our Chief Minister speaks less but does more work. He does more than that in the manifesto. That’s why people of Odisha love him.

The Opposition party, that boasts itself as the biggest political party is unable to find a chief ministerial candidate for itself in the last 24 years, and also will not find one because they fear that, if they declare a chief ministerial candidate, their number of seats will decrease to less than 10, Pandian said in his address to the people.
