Koraput: Intensifying the border dispute further, Andhra Pradesh deputy chief Minister Peedika Rajanna Dora has held a public meeting in controversial Kotia region of Odisha despite a heavy security arrangement on the border.

The deputy CM of the neighboring State held a meeting at Dhuli Padar village of Kotia panchayat and made people aware about his government’s welfare programmes. Local people also welcomed him and sought his cooperation for better implementation of the government schemes on the border areas.

Dora said that the Andhra Pradesh Government is fully committed for the all round development of the people residing on border. The government has launched several pro-people schemes for border area people. More welfare programmes have been planned and these would be implemented for the tribal people in Kotia soon, he assured.

Dora was also accompanied by several supporters and government employees during his visit to the controversial area.

However, Koraput district administration was unaware about the visit of the deputy CM of Andhra.
