Pakistan issued a notification to carry out a surface-to-surface missile test off its Karachi coast along its coastline within its Exclusive Economic Zone on April 24-25, ANI reported, citing defence sources.
The sources told the publication “Indian agencies concerned are keeping a close watch on all the developments.”
The plan to test the missile comes at a time when relations between India and Pakistan are tense in the aftermath of the Pahalgam terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir, which claimed the lives of 26 people.
This is India’s worst terror attack since what it suffered in Pulwama. The last time, India had responded with airstrikes in Balakot. Currently, the Modi government has suspended the Indus Water Treaty, closed the Attari border, and downgraded diplomatic ties with Pakistan.
