Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh announced a new ANRF‑supported digital portal to train researchers and students in patent filing and research paper writing, strengthening India’s scientific publishing ecosystem.
Chairing a joint review meeting of the Department of Science & Technology (DST), Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR), and Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES), Dr Singh said the portal will serve as a capacity‑building resource for young innovators. It will offer structured support in scientific writing, publication processes, and intellectual property protection.
He urged scientific departments to coordinate more closely to maximise national outcomes from research and innovation. He directed officials to establish mechanisms for sharing achievements and best practices across institutions to enhance collaboration.
Dr Singh emphasised that regular communication of scientific success stories can increase India’s global research impact. He called for stronger outreach through digital platforms and social media to make scientific achievements accessible to citizens, startups, and students.
Reviewing the Capacity Building for Science Administration initiative, he said scientists taking leadership roles must understand governance and financial procedures. He suggested integrating these programmes with Mission Karmayogi to improve administrative efficiency.
The Minister also reviewed departmental performance indicators and preparations for ESTIC 2026, urging wider participation from institutions, startups, and international experts. He concluded by reaffirming the government’s commitment to deepening cooperation among scientific departments and enhancing the visibility of India’s research achievements.
