Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) will start administering the first dose of Covaxin for the age group between 18 and 44.
Informing in this regard, BMC Commissioner Sanjay Singh said that the first dose and second dose to the persons of 18-44 age group will be given during morning session and afternoon session, respectively in the city.
“BMC will start administering 1st dose of Covaxin to the people of 18 – 44 yrs in the morning session and 2nd dose in the afternoon session under its jurisdiction in Bhubaneswar from next week. Vaccination of persons belonging to 45+ age group will continue during the afternoon session,” he said.
“The civic body will issue a notification in this regard soon. Those who received the 1st dose of vaccine in the city between May 3 and May 14 are being administered the second dose while the drive will continue till June 12,” he added.
