Talcher: Odisha Vigilance sleuths today conducted raids on the properties of the Deputy Director of Mines of Talcher on the allegation of possession of disproportionate assets.
The accused has been identified as Dharanidhar Nayak, Deputy Director of Mines(DDM), Talcher, Dist-Angul.
Simultaneous house searches are being conducted by Odisha Vigilance led by 10 DSPs, 16 Inspectors, 7 SI/ASIs, and other supporting staff on the strength of search warrants issued by Hon’ble Special Judge, Vigilance, Angul at the following 8 places in Bhubaneswar, and Keonjhar and Angul districts.
1.Flat No. 205, 2nd floor of Surekha Orchid Sisuvihar, Patia Bhubaneswar.
2. A double-storeyed Market complex consisting of 15 shops (9 shops on the ground floor and 6 shops on the 1st floor) is located at Badinali Sinkulabahal, Jagmohanpur Telkoi, Keonjhar.
3. A double-storeyed building under construction adjacent to the market complex at Badinali Sinkulabahal, Jagmohanpur, Telkoi Keonjhar.
4. One single-storeyed building at Badinali Sinkulabahal, Jagmohanpur Telkoi, Keonjhar.
5. Paternal house of Sri Nayak at village Chhamunda, Via-Telkoi PS-Telkoi, Dist-Keonjhar.
6. His temporary residence at Talcher, Dist-Angul.
7. Office room of Sri Nayak at O/o-Dy Director Mining, Talcher, Dist-Angul.
8. His relative’s house at village Purumunda, Ghatagaon, Dist-Keonjhar.
During house searches so far, the following assets have been unearthed in the name of Sri Nayak and his family members;
1. One 3-BHK vide Flat No.205 on the 2nd floor of Surekha Orchid at Sisu Vihar, Patia, Bhubaneswar worth approx. Rs.1.30 Crore.
2. One duplex with an area of 1800 Sqft. at Sundarpada, Bhubaneswar.
3. One double storeyed Market complex consisting of 15 shops (9 shops on the ground floor and 6 shops on the 1st floor) of the building located at Badinali Sinkulabahal, Jagmohanpur, Telkoi, Keonjhar.
4. Another Market complex building consisting of four shops adjacent to the double-storeyed market complex at Jagmohanpur, Telkoi, Keonjhar.
5. One double-storeyed building under construction near the market complex at Badinali Sinkulabahal, Jagmohanpur, Telkoi, Keonjhar.
6. One building at village Chhamunda, Telkoi, Dist-Keonjhar.
7. 9 plots including 2 plots in prime area of Bhubaneswar and rest 7 plots in Telkoi, Keonjhar.
The measurement and valuation/assessment of the above buildings/Market complexes/Duplex/Plots are being carried out by Vigilance Technical Wing.
8. Cash of Rs.9,83,800/- (Rs.5,58,800/- from Patia Flat and Rs.4,25,000/- unearthed from the residence of Sri Nayak at Talchher) during the house search.
9. Loan of Rs 75 lakh taken in 2022 repaid in 2 years from suspected ill-gotten money. Being verified.
10. Bank, Insurance & Postal deposits and other investments etc. are being ascertained.
10. 1 four-wheeler (TATA Punch).
