91 from Kishan + Klaasen Carnage = SRH’s 217 Target – RR’s Unbeaten Streak on the Line!

The Sunrisers Hyderabad turned the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium into a batting paradise as they posted a massive 216 for 6 in 20 overs against the Rajasthan Royals in Match 21 of the TATA IPL 2026.

At the innings break, the home side have set the unbeaten Royals a daunting target of 217 – the highest they will chase this season so far.

The star of the show was Ishan Kishan, who walked in at number three and unleashed a savage 91 off just 44 balls, laced with thunderous boundaries and towering sixes that had the crowd roaring from the first over. Kishan’s aggressive intent set the tone early, and he found the perfect ally in Heinrich Klaasen. The South African destroyer smashed 40 off 26 deliveries, including some monstrous hits that sailed into the Hyderabad night sky.

Rajasthan Royals, who arrived at the top of the table with four straight wins and a formidable net run rate, were forced to dig deep. Jofra Archer was the pick of their bowlers, returning impressive figures of 2 for 37, but even the England speedster couldn’t stop the SRH onslaught once Kishan and Klaasen got going.

SRH’s innings was a masterclass in power-hitting – the kind of display Hyderabad crowds have come to expect from their side. With the pitch offering true bounce and the boundaries coming thick and fast, the home batters made full use of the conditions. The Royals, known for their clinical bowling attacks, found themselves on the receiving end for the first time this season.

Now the pressure shifts squarely onto Rajasthan Royals. Their unbeaten run has been built on disciplined bowling and composed chases, but 217 on the road against a pumped-up SRH side is a different beast altogether. Can Sanju Samson and Co. script another comeback, or will the Kishan-Klaasen blitz prove too much?
