The Supreme Court-appointed High Powered Enquiry Committee (HPEC) has launched an online portal to collect complaints, representations, and evidence regarding the July 2026 violence at Jantar Mantar and surrounding areas in Delhi.
Formed under the apex court’s orders dated Aug 18 and Sept 10, 2026, the committee will examine all incidents surrounding the violent clashes.
According to the panel, priority will be given to investigating the use of pellet guns, targeted harassment and violence against female protesters, as well as excessive destruction of property and violence committed on either side.
To safeguard affected individuals, including police personnel, the portal features built-in witness protection mechanisms to ensure total confidentiality and keep identities undisclosed upon request.
Stakeholders, victims, and members of the public possessing relevant information are encouraged to submit their representations online using standard formats.
Those preferring physical submissions can visit the HPEC office at Shiksha Sadan, 17 Rouse Avenue Institutional Area, New Delhi, between 2 PM and 4 PM on working days. Submissions can also be sent via post or emailed directly to hpec2026.enquiry@nic.in.
