The sudden death of 18-year-old Nepali student Prisha Sah, found in her hostel room at KIIT University, has sent shockwaves through the student community.
As investigations unfold, her grieving family has arrived from Nepal to perform her last rites at Swargadwar in Puri on Saturday.
Authorities conducted a post-mortem examination at AIIMS Bhubaneswar under tight security and official supervision. A forensic team has been involved, with video documentation ensuring transparency in the procedure.
Police have intensified their probe, questioning ten individuals, including Prisha’s roommates, and seizing her mobile phone, laptop, and personal belongings for forensic analysis. The family’s concern grows as they recall speaking to Prisha just hours before her untimely passing, during which she appeared normal and showed no signs of distress.
This tragedy marks the second death of a Nepali student at KIIT within three months. Earlier in February, Prakriti Lamsal, a third-year B.Tech student, also passed away under suspicious circumstances.
The university and authorities continue their investigation to provide clarity on the circumstances surrounding Prisha’s demise, as her family and peers seek answers.
