Nayagarh: A woman and her daughter died today after drowning in a pond in Gholahandi village of Dasapalla police station of Nayagarh district.
The deceased have been identified as Sandhyarani Pradhan, wife of Poonchandra Pradhan of the village, and her 13-year-old daughter, Barsharani Pradhan.
While taking bath in the pond, Sandhyarani and her daughter drowned in succession.
As they did not return home for a long time, Sandhyarani’s mother went looking from them to the pond. However, she found the mother-daughter floating dead in the pond.
