Kandhamal: A youth was swept away along with his motorcycle while crossing a flooded bridge on Salunki river in Phulbani of Kandhamal district.
Due to heavy rains in the region, the river was in spate and was overflowing the bridge.
According to onlookers, the youth was trying to cross the flooded bridge on his bike. But the strong current swept him along with his bike.
On being informed, the fire services personnel launched a search operation to trace the youth.
