New Delhi: Even after over one year’s protest, farmers are not ready to leave the protesting site, though Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced on Friday that the Centre will repeal the three controversial farm laws.
Adamant over his decision to seat at various places of protesting sites, Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) leader Rakesh Tikait reiterated that the protesting farmers will return to their homes only after the decision is duly passed by the Parliament.
आंदोलन तत्काल वापस नहीं होगा, हम उस दिन का इंतजार करेंगे जब कृषि कानूनों को संसद में रद्द किया जाएगा ।

He made no bones in admitting that farmers don’t trust such announcements until it is duly passed by the Parliament.
Tikait said that over 600 farmers had given their sacrifice to strengthen and carry forward the movement and we need to honour their sacrifice while taking any decision.
The Prime Minister said that the Government brought these laws for the welfare of farmers, specially small farmers, in the interest of the agriculture sector, for a bright future of ‘gaanv-gareeb’ – village-poor, with full integrity, clear conscience and dedication towards farmers.
The Prime Minister said “today I have come to tell you, the whole country, that we have decided to withdraw all three agricultural laws. In the Parliament session starting later this month, we will complete the constitutional process to repeal these three agricultural laws”.
