Ganjam: Two sisters died after falling into an open manhole at Pakarada village under Bhanjanagar in Ganjam district.
According to reports, the incident occurred when the sister duo, whose identities are yet to be ascertained, were playing near the manhole. Meanwhile, a portion of the area near it caved in and they fell into the manhole.
However, after a frantic search, the victims were found in the sewage tank. Although they were rescued to rushed to a nearby hospital, doctors declared them brought dead.
Sources said they had come to their uncle’s house with their parents.
