Chief Advisor (Retd. IPS) Prakash Mishra reviewed the security, traffic, and overall preparedness for the upcoming Rath Yatra 2026 in Puri.
The meeting was attended by Arabinda Padhee, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, Soumendra Priyadarshi, IPS, ADG (Modernisation), and Dr Satyajit Naik, IPS, IG Police, Central Range, along with senior officers from the police and civil administration.
The review focused on inter‑agency coordination, operational preparedness, crowd management, traffic regulation, and emergency response mechanisms to ensure the safe and smooth conduct of the festival, which draws millions of devotees to the Holy City.
Officials emphasised meticulous execution of all arrangements and seamless coordination among stakeholder departments to facilitate a peaceful, hassle‑free Rath Yatra.
