Emraan Hashmi’s action drama Awarapan 2 is now available for digital streaming on Prime Video following its theatrical release on Aug 14.
Directed by Nitin Kakkar, the film brings Hashmi back as the iconic Shivam Pandit, nearly two decades after Mohit Suri’s 2007 cult classic Awarapan. Prime Video announced the digital premiere via a promotional video featuring Hashmi listening to the hit track “Tera Mera Rishta.”
The sequel finds Shivam living in a remote Rajasthan village, struggling with grief and guilt at his partner Aaliyah’s grave after renouncing his violent past. However, an unexpected turn of events drags him to Bangkok, forcing him back into the underworld he tried to escape.
Produced by Vishesh Films and co-written by Kakkar, Bilal Siddiqui, and Vishesh Bhatt, the film also stars Disha Patani, Shabana Azmi, Puran Gabbi, Vijayant Kohli, and Suvinder Vicky in key roles. The release marks a major moment for long-time fans eager to revisit Shivam’s emotional and action-packed journey.
