Deogarh: The Forest Department Personnel seized 48 pieces of teak wood in Golabandha village under Barkote block in Deogarh district and arrested three persons in this connection.
The accused have been identified as Suresh Dhibar (46) of Thianal village in Deogarh, Basudev Das (28) and Pratap Nayak (45) of Telkoi village of Keonjhar.
Acting on a tip-off, the Forest officials conducted a raid in Golabandha village and seized the tractor in which the teak wood pieces were illegally transferred to Telkoi of Keonjhar and arrested the three accused persons. The accused have been forwarded to the court.
