Kendrapara: Three women were killed while four others sustained injuries after an SUV crashed into a tree near Ostapur under Sadar police station in Kendrapara district on Monday.
According to reports, the SUV dashed into the tree at the turning due to its high speed. As a result, three women died on the spot and four sustained injuries, three of them were critical. the critical persons were shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital, Cuttack, while another injured person has been admitted to the Kendrapara District headquarters Hospital.
All the three women who died and the injured persons were theatre artists. They were returning their village after finishing rehearsal. They had to perform in a play on the occasion of Mahashivratri.
