Sudhanshu Pandey Slams Apoorva Mukhija Over Disrespectful Remark on Ashish Vidyarthi
Actor Sudhanshu Pandey has called out influencer and reality show contestant Apoorva Mukhija, popularly known as The Rebel Kid, for making a flippant remark about veteran actor Ashish Vidyarthi on The Traitors.
During a recent Instagram live, Sudhanshu reacted strongly to Apoorva’s comment — “Ashish jaayega” — made during an episode of the reality show. He said her casual tone was highly disrespectful, especially when referring to a senior artist like Vidyarthi.
“Is he your childhood friend? Is that how you talk about someone who is senior even to your parents?” Sudhanshu asked. “When your tongue slips, it ruins everything. That’s not Gen Z cool — it’s just bad behavior.”
He stressed that while he doesn’t believe Apoorva is a bad person, her attitude reflects poorly on the current generation. Drawing a personal comparison, he added, “Even my Gen Z kids are extremely respectful to others.”
Sudhanshu concluded by saying that such language reflects a deeper societal issue and should not be normalized.
The Traitors, hosted by Karan Johar, is the Indian version of the Dutch reality show. Streamed on Prime Video since June 12, it features 20 contestants divided into “Traitors” and “Faithfuls,” navigating a mystery-filled elimination game. Contestants include Uorfi Javed, Apoorva Mukhija, Raj Kundra, Raftaar, Maheep Kapoor, and others.
