Revenue Inspector, Peon Caught Taking Bribe In Koraput

Koraput: Odisha Vigilance sleuths today apprehended a Revenue Inspector and a Peon, of Lamtaput circle under Machhkund Tehsil in Koraput district while taking a bribe of Rs 10,000.

The accused have been identified as Bijay Kumar Bagh, R.I (Revenue Inspector) and Sri Rohit Kumar Padhy, Peon.

As per sources, both were apprehended by Odisha Vigilance for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs.10,000 from a Complainant for demarcation of his land.

The entire tainted bribe money has been recovered from Padhy and seized. Following the trap, simultaneous searches are going on at three locations of the accused from DA angle.

In this connection, Koraput Vigilance P.S Case No. 41 Dt. 18.12.2023 U/s 7 P.C (Amendment) Act, 2018 has been registered against both the accused persons.
