Three Women Critical In Bear Attack In Nuapada

Nuapada: Three women received injuries on Tuesday after they were attacked by a bear in Nuapada district.

The injured women have been identified as Mukhi Maharatha (56), Gita Netam (40) and Hina Sunani (30).

As per reports, Mukhi Maharatha of Singh colony was attacked by a wild bear while she was plucking flowers. hearing the screaming, her family members rushed there to rescue her. By the time, she was critically injured by the attack. As they chased the bear, it ran to the National highway. There, the bear attacked two NAC cleaning service workers Gita and Hina. As a result, they both sustained injuries.

The injured were admitted to the hospital. While the two cleaning workers have been cured and returned home, Mukhi is under treatment in the hospital.
