The Special Crime Unit in Bhubaneswar seized two semi-automatic guns along with 10 rounds of ammunition during a crackdown on criminal activities.
Officers arrested Amarresh Rout of Sundarpada Talasahi and recovered two magazines and a motorcycle from his possession.
Police confirmed that the operation was part of intensified efforts to control crime in the capital. The Special Crime Unit has also launched a helpline number, 0674-2916383, urging citizens to report information about anti-social activities. Officials assured that the identity of informants will remain confidential.
