PM Modi reaches Kedarnath temple, to lay foundation stones for projects over Rs 3.4k crore

Uttarakhand: Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Uttarakhand to visit Kedarnath and Badrinath on Friday during which he will inspect various ongoing development works and also lay foundation stones for some new projects. In view of the visit, security arrangements have been tightened in the area, an official said.

While the officials are busy finalizing the preparations for the two-day program of the prime minister, the priests of both the Dhams and the devotees are also excited by his arrival.

The Prime Minister is also scheduled to visit Adi Shankaracharya Samadhi Sthal and will review development projects like Mandakini Asthapath and Saraswati Asthapath. At around 11:30 am, he is also slated to perform pooja at the Badrinath Temple.

Later in the afternoon, PM Modi will lay the foundation stone of road projects and address the people at Mana village near Badrinath. Thereafter, he will review the progress of the beautification projects of the Arrival Plaza and the lakes. The Prime Minister will spend Friday night in Badrinath.
