Keonjhar: One person was killed while another sustained critical injuries after the car they were travelling in turned turtle at Hasanpur toll gate in Keonjhar district on Friday.
As per reports, the victims hail from Ghatagaon were returning from Paradeep. The mishap occurred while the car driver lost control over the vehicle and dashed it into a divider near the toll gate. As a result, it overturned. One person inside the car died on the spot while another was seriously injured. The injured one was immediately rushed to the SCB Medical College and Hospital in critical condition.
The reason behind the mishap is yet to be ascertained. However, it is suspected that, the car dashed into the divider either due to its high speed or due to the dense fog. Police on receiving the news reached the scene and seized the body for post-mortem.
