Bhubaneswar: The DGP, Sunil Bansal visited Nuapada district on Friday to review Left Wing Extremist (LWE) scenario in the area. He was accompanied by Director Intelligence, ADG ( L&O) , IG ( Operations), DIG ( SIW) , DIG ( SWR) and IG (CRPF).
The top police officer instructed the security forces to intensify anti- Maoists operations by setting up of more camps in order to plug the security vacuum of the area.
The DGP further visited Sunabeda and Patdhara camps and interacted with SOG and CRPF soldiers to boost their morale.
He made an appeal to Maoists to lay arms and contribute to the ongoing development process of the area in particular and the state in general.
