The Office of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Odisha, has issued a public advisory warning citizens about a fake website impersonating the official electoral authority.
The fraudulent site, www.ceoodisha.com, is mimicking the legitimate platform to spread misleading information, especially as the state prepares for the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the Electoral Roll in 2026.
In a press note dated March 17, 2026, the CEO clarified that the only authentic website is https://ceoodisha.nic.in. The fake domain is not affiliated with the office and has been flagged for illegally replicating the official site while disseminating incorrect details to the public.
This alert comes at a critical time, with the SIR 2026 process set to begin soon. Officials emphasised that misinformation could confuse voters and disrupt the electoral roll revision, which aims to ensure accurate and inclusive voter lists.
The public, media, and stakeholders have been urged to exclusively use the official site for all election-related information, including voter verification, applications, and updates. Any suspicious content should be reported to the CEO’s office immediately.
