In a significant development for lakhs of central government employees and pensioners in Odisha, the Eighth Central Pay Commission will visit Bhubaneswar on 6th and 7th July 2026 to hold direct interactions with stakeholders.
The Commission, constituted to recommend the next major revision in pay scales, allowances, and pensions, issued an official notice on Tuesday inviting organisations, institutions, service associations, and unions to submit requests for appointments.
According to the notice, interested parties must submit their requests through the provided online portal on or before 15th June 2026, along with a “unique Memo ID” generated after filing their memorandum. “Concerned stakeholders, including Organisations/Institutions of Central Government as well as Associations/Unions who are desirous of interacting with the Commission at Bhubaneswar may kindly submit their request seeking an appointment with the Commission,” the notice states.
Key Deadlines:
- Memorandum submission on the official website — https://8cpc.gov.in — by 31st May 2026.
- Appointment requests for the Bhubaneswar visit — by 15th June 2026.
The Commission has also clarified that venue details and the final meeting schedule will be intimated separately. It further noted that similar meetings will be held in other states and union territories in due course.
The visit provides a crucial opportunity for local associations to present region-specific issues and demands directly before the Commission.
