Puri: A newborn baby girl was found stuffed inside the drainage pipe of a toilet of the District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) in Puri on Thursday morning.
According to reports, the infant was rescued inside the drainage pipe of a toilet on the fourth floor of the Mother and Child Care building of the hospital.
The newborn is reportedly undergoing treatment at the Sick Neonatal Care Unit (SNCU) of the hospital.
While the hospital authorities are yet to identify the mother of the baby, doctors suspect it could be a premature baby.
On the other hand, Childline officials, on being informed about the incident, reached the DHH and initiated a probe into the incident.
