Chasing 182, LSG overcame early setbacks to clinch the win in the final over, thanks to a blistering knock from Mukul Choudhary.
After winning the toss and opting to field, LSG restricted KKR to 181/4. KKR’s innings was anchored by consistent middle-order contributions, but Lucknow’s bowlers ensured the target remained within reach.
In reply, LSG’s chase began shakily with early wickets falling. Ayush Badoni steadied the innings with a composed 54 off 34 balls, striking seven boundaries and two sixes. His partnership with Mukul Choudhary proved decisive.
Choudhary, playing a fearless brand of cricket, smashed 54* off just 27 balls, including seven towering sixes. His strike rate of 200 turned the tide in Lucknow’s favour, leaving Kolkata’s bowlers under immense pressure.
KKR’s bowling attack had its moments. Vaibhav Arora and Anukul Roy picked up two wickets each, while Sunil Narine delivered a miserly spell of 1/13 in four overs. Yet, the late assault from Choudhary proved unstoppable.
