Balasore: Unidentified miscreants looted Rs 1.5 lakh from motorcycle’s sidebox near Baliapatna police limits in Balasore district.
The victim has been identified as Pranakrushna Parida and his grandson Jagabandhu Parida from Balibil village.
According to reports, the incident occurred while the duo had gone to a showroom to purchase a motorcycle after keeping cash inside the dickey. In the meantime, some miscreants broke open the two-wheeler’s sidebox and looted Rs 2 lakh from it. Soon after the miscreants fled the spot.
With no option left, the duo lodged a complaint with the local police station regarding the same.
Acting on the complaint, police have begun probing into the incident. Further investigation is underway in this regard.
