Bhubaneswar: Unidentified armed miscreants allegedly looted valuables worth lakhs of rupees from a couple at Bhotapada area under Mancheswar police limits.
According to reports, some armed miscreants barged into the couple’s house late last night and tied them with a rope before attacking with a sharp weapon.
Thereafter, they looted Rs 3 lakh cash along with gold ornaments worth Rs 30 lakhs from their house before fleeing from the spot.
Later somehow the couple managed to untangle themselves and immediately informed the local police about the same.
On being alerted, police reached the spot and initiated a probe. Further investigation is underway to apprehend the robbers.
