The IGNOU (Indira Gandhi National Open University) Campus Placement Cell and Regional Centres Bhubaneswar and Rairangpur, in association with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and the TATA Steel Foundation, organised a major Campus Placement Drive on Oct 7, 2026, at the IGNOU Regional Centre in Bhubaneswar.
The recruitment drive witnessed enthusiastic participation from approximately 489 candidates aiming to secure employment opportunities across various STEM and non-STEM sectors. Fifteen prominent companies took part in the event, including:
- Axis Bank, TATA Electronics, and Foxconn
- TAFF, Blinkit, and Bajaj Finance Limited
- Team Lease Private Limited, Jindal, and Big Basket
- THK, Queees, SHAHI Garments, and Ashmita Holidays
- Primitive Health Care, Utkarsh Small Finance, Med Plus, and Rashmi Outsourcing
Leadership Insights and Shortlisting Results
Before the recruitment process, Dr M.K. Dash, Senior Regional Director and Head of IGNOU Regional Centres Bhubaneswar and Rairangpur, addressed the student-participants during the inaugural session.
He emphasised that the skill and internship facilities provided by IGNOU are designed to assist students in the professional sphere, adding that similar placement drives will be conducted periodically.
Sh. Ajay Mishra, Head of CII Odisha, also addressed the students and conveyed his best wishes. Out of the total attendees, 298 students were successfully shortlisted for various positions.
