Cuttack: The Orissa High Court on Wednesday directed the State Government to submit a reply on how the Transport Department set a deadline for High Security Registration Plate (HSRP) without streamlining the required infrastructure.
Acting on a petition filed by two bus owners, the Court also directed to the Transport department to aapprise the court if the deadline can be extended.
Server issues and slow internet have turned nightmare for the vehicle owners who have not yet booked for the registration.
Two days ago, the Transport Department issued a notification stating that vehisle owners who have applied for the registration will not attract fine. They will have to produce the booking slip during enforcement drive.
However, many vehicle owners unsuccessfully struggled to get a slot dueto website server issues and internet problems at the last moment which was cause of resentment.
