Balasore: Three rooms of a house were gutted after a fire broke out in Garudahata village under the Oupada block in Balasore district on Monday.
According to reports, locals noticed smoke emanating from the houses and immediately informed the fire brigade.
Soon, the fire tenders were pressed into service to douse the flames. Properties worth lakhs of rupees were destroyed in the fire mishap.
Though the exact cause of the fire has not been ascertained yet, it is suspected that an electric short circuit could have led to the fire.
