Bhubaneswar: The Orissa High Court has directed the State government to reply over reduction of number of migratory birds in Mangalajodi.

Hearing a PIL (Public Interest Litigation) filed by environmentalist Dibakar Behera, the court has asked the Fisheries and Animal Resources Development department to reply on the matter.

The petitioner informed the court that winged creatures are reluctant to visit the lake due to increasing pollution caused by the use of motor boats.
