A powerful explosion late Friday night at the NTPC thermal power plant in the Kaniha block of Anugola district left five workers injured, with two reported critical.
According to reports, the blast occurred in Bunker-B of the power generation unit. The injured workers were rushed to the NTPC medical facility for immediate treatment. As the condition of two worsened, they were shifted to Bhubaneswar for advanced medical care.
The exact cause of the explosion remains unclear, and authorities have launched a detailed investigation to ascertain the reason behind the mishap.
