The Odisha Police Operations Wing signed an MoU with State Bank of India (SBI) to provide a Corporate Salary Package for personnel of the Odisha Special Striking Force (OSSF).
The agreement was signed by Dr Deepak Kumar, IPS, IG Operations, on behalf of Odisha Police and Ashish Kumar Mishra, DGM SBI. Sri Sanjeeb Panda, IPS, DG Anti‑Naxal Operations, attended as Chief Guest.
The package covers nearly 4,000 ex‑servicemen working across four OSSF battalions deployed in anti‑Naxal operations. Benefits include:
- Rs 50 lakh accident coverage
- Rs 10 lakh air ambulance reimbursement
- Rs 10 lakh child higher education cover
- Rs 10 lakh plastic surgery cost coverage
- Rishtey Account benefits for family members
- Personal loan facilities
- Optional health insurance of Rs 5 lakh at Rs 1,999 per annum
Senior officers including Lochan Pasayat, Commandant SOG, and Ramachandra Pradhan, Commandant in charge of OSSF, were present along with SBI officials.
DG Sanjeeb Panda thanked SBI for extending the package, noting that such benefits will motivate OSSF personnel serving in difficult terrains. He emphasised that these provisions are in addition to government benefits, reinforcing support for the force’s critical role in maintaining security.
