Odisha’s rich heritage has gone global with the inauguration of the One District, One Product (ODOP) Gallery in Dubai by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi.
The gallery presents a diverse range of Odisha’s unique products, including Sambalpuri Sarees (Sambalpur), Maniabandha Handloom (Cuttack), Silver Filigree (Kataka), Dongria Shawls (Rayagada), Terracotta Idols (Kendujhar), Black Granite Sculptures (Balasore), and Pattachitra and Palm Leaf Engravings (Puri).
Designed as a global showcase, the initiative highlights the craftsmanship, cultural identity and traditional skills of Odisha’s artisans. It aims to create new markets, strengthen women‑led entrepreneurship, boost local livelihoods, and expand export opportunities.
The Chief Minister emphasised the vision of taking Odisha’s traditional products “from local to global”, ensuring greater market access, value addition, and international recognition for artisans and entrepreneurs.
The ODOP Gallery positions Odisha’s heritage not only as a cultural treasure but also as a driver of entrepreneurship, employment, and global trade.
