Face Masks To Be Made Compulsory If Covid-19 Cases Rise: Health Director

Bhubaneswar: Health Director Bijay Mohapatra on Saturday informed that wearing face masks will be made mandatory if Covid cases surge in the State.

Mohapatra said there is no need for making face masks compulsory in the state as of now, but if there is an increase in news COVID cases, then face coverings will be made mandatory.

However, the surveillance and testing are still in place to monitor the situation in our State, the top health official added.

We must follow all the precautionary measures. People must wear masks in crowded places and go through Covid test and isolate themselves if they have any symptoms of the virus, Mohapatra stated.
