Elephant Herd Wreaks Havoc In Sundergarh’s Village

Sundergarh: A herd of 11 elephants damaged standing paddy crops over acres at Kheriakani area of Sundargarh district Sadar forest range on Monday.

Reportedly, the wild elephants entered the village in search of food and destroyed acres of standing paddy crops and vegetable crops.

The farmers in the villages have been spending sleepless nights with the elephants on a rampage.

While no casualties have been reported so far, efforts to drive the jumbo into the wild are on.
