Veteran Bollywood actor Dharmendra was admitted to the ICU at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai after experiencing breathlessness late Friday night.
The 89-year-old star is now stable and recovering well, according to hospital staff.
Shortly after the news broke, journalist Vickey Lalwani reported that Dharmendra had arrived at the hospital complaining of breathlessness. A hospital staff member confirmed, “He is in the ICU and sleeping now. His heart rate is 70, blood pressure is 140/80, and urine output is good.” These stable parameters helped ease growing concerns among fans.
Initially, the reports triggered widespread worry. However, sources later clarified that the actor had been undergoing scheduled medical tests. India Today cited a source who said, “He is absolutely fine and in great spirits.” Meanwhile, NDTV reported that Dharmendra had already been admitted for five days before the news surfaced.
Earlier this year, Dharmendra underwent an eye graft surgery. A video of him leaving the hospital with a bandaged eye quickly went viral. At the time, he reassured fans, saying, “I am strong. Abhi bhi Dharmendra mein bahut dum hai. Abhi bhi jaan rakhta hoon.”
